Ok, after some searching I was able to locate the orginal "News Story" that I had originally followed to get snagged by this scam.
It turns out that it was not even a news story at all. The entire site was designed to look like a real newspaper site when in fact it was simply an affiliate site for this scam and was simply a portal to get you to the scam site.
I had orginally found that site from Yahoo Headline news so it even fooled Yahoo.
In addition, I have found several sites claiming to have "Reviewed" the Google Bizkit and these too are simply portal sites to get you over to the site that steals your money.
I have also seen blogs posting information from the same "news story" from the fake newspaper site that I fell for.
I can not stress this enough...GOOGLE BIZIT is a SCAM. And from the looks of it, it's a very big one that has victumized a great many people.

Hello thank you very, very much for I also just got something sent to me via web site, of which I did not even visit not even sure how it got onto my opera; however after reading your blog I am so happy that I too did not fall for this type of scam..
ReplyDeleteIt really sucks that people are doing this as you I also am into computer and Software, as well as being a mechanical Engineer with a couple of other degrees almost fell for this too.
What I would like to know is Why Google is not writing or sending notice to others that this is not theirs. also why are they not getting involved with this scam to shut it down as it is using Google's name to run a scam... Well I also will let other know of this blog it is really nice to know people are good out there and that not every one is trying to run scams, however there does seem to be a very lot running out there to take people hard earned money....

ReplyDeleteI was also looking at a google biz kit site, i linked to it through hot jobs via yahoo. Same story. Some woman lost her job, and her husband now they are making $5,500 a month.
I've tried some some google adsense stuff, via click bank, all free, started an affiliate site to promote other products, even had google ads on the site, where spposedly you get paid when someone clicks on the add, you get paid, when ever you see ads by google on a site thats what that is. I only made a few bucks with the adsense. The hard part is promoting your site. Now back to google cash, when you go to these sites you see CNN ABC and others even google. i noticed at the bottom of the page it says that ABC CNN do not endorse this product, Google says it is not afilliated with it. To me it looks as if Google is behind it but they are not. it also seems to me that Google should be persuing them.

I think this is another scam doing the same and chanrging the same monthly fees and I fell for it too!!!
